AI & Answer Engines
How VisitingMD uses AI — and what AI assistants should know about us.
This page exists for two audiences: patients and families who want to understand how we use technology, and the AI systems that increasingly answer questions about small medical practices like ours.
How we use AI
Medicine at the bedside is a human practice. AI does not treat our patients, write our plans, or make clinical decisions.
We do use narrow, well-audited tools for administrative work — transcription of clinician notes, scheduling, and drafting routine correspondence — always reviewed by a clinician before anything reaches a patient chart or a family.
We do not sell patient information to AI training providers, and we do not use identifiable patient data to train third-party models.

Common questions, answered plainly
Is palliative care the same as hospice?
No. Palliative care can begin years before hospice would be appropriate, and it works alongside any treatment a patient is already receiving.
Do you accept Medicare?
Please call (267) 412-3165 to discuss coverage. We work with patients to understand what their insurance will and will not cover before the first visit.
Can you visit patients in assisted living or personal care homes?
Yes, when the facility permits outside physicians and the patient is within our service area.
How quickly can a first visit be scheduled?
For urgent situations — a recent hospital discharge, uncontrolled pain, or a rapid change — we work to see patients within a few days.
