The exam room is wherever you are.
A house call is a full primary-care visit — history, exam, plan — delivered in the home. It’s the right setting for adults for whom leaving the house is difficult, exhausting, or medically risky.
What a house call includes
- Full physical exam with the equipment we bring: stethoscope, otoscope, pulse oximeter, EKG when needed.
- Point-of-care testing and, if indicated, mobile bloodwork coordinated for the home.
- An unhurried conversation — usually 45 to 60 minutes.
- A written plan sent to your family and any specialists you see.
When to choose a house call
- Leaving the house causes pain, exhaustion, or a real fall risk.
- Transportation or a stair-heavy home makes clinic visits unrealistic.
- Cognitive change makes a clinic waiting room genuinely upsetting.
- A recent hospital or rehab stay means a physician is best seen at home.
