Asthma

Asthma is controlled by what happens between visits — inhaler technique, triggers in the home, sleep. In-home care puts a physician exactly where those variables live.

How we care for it at home

  • Home assessment for triggers: dust, pets, mold, smoke.
  • Inhaler and spacer technique corrected on the spot.
  • Written action plans the family can actually follow.
  • Coordination with allergy and pulmonology when needed.

What we watch for

  • Nighttime symptoms and rescue inhaler frequency.
  • Overlap with COPD in older adults.
  • Reflux, sinus disease, and other drivers of poor control.
  • Mental health, which strongly influences symptom perception and control.
