Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is rarely just one thing, and it's almost never solved in a fifteen-minute clinic slot. In-home care lets us assess what's actually driving pain and build a plan that works over months, not minutes.
How we care for it at home
- Multimodal plans that minimize opioids and NSAIDs when possible.
- Coordination with PT, pain specialists, and behavioral health.
- Careful review of every medication — and every over-the-counter — the patient is on.
- Home adaptations that reduce pain triggers.
What we watch for
- Function: what the patient can do, not just what the pain score is.
- Sleep, mood, and appetite, which pain quietly destroys.
- GI, kidney, and cognitive effects of chronic medications.
- Signs a new diagnosis is hiding inside the old pain.
